Clean and Simple Hot Foil Butterfly Birthday A2 Card Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this Clean and Simple Hot Foil Butterfly Birthday A2 Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.


I am not great with clean and simple designs but I do try to push myself to create things that are outside of my comfort zone. I started this card off by trimming down the foil I wanted to use, I used matte gold foil for the sentiment, bright pink foil for the large butterfly and rose gold foil for the smaller butterfly. I like to use my Big shot with my hot foil machine as I think it gives me the best results.


Once everything was foiled I used the matching dies and cut each element out, I adhered the smaller butterfly on the inside of the card and added the large butterfly and sentiment to the card front. I felt like it was a little bare so I added the lacy layers dies to make the card look a little more elegant. I also curved up the butterflies wings to give it a little more dimension. After I adhered all my layers, some with glue and some with foam tape for added height, I used a few gold gems to add a bit more shimmer and shine and then called this card done. I am pretty happy with how it came together and hope you enjoyed reading it as well!!
