Clean and Simple Sending you Love A2 Card Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this DIY How to Make Vibrant Mica Sprayed Christmas Cards for Week 10 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas Series, Let's jump right in.


I like to start by cutting down my cardstock, I used an A2-sized base then cut the black matte down to be 1/8th of an inch smaller and my HammerMill panel down to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base. I stamped the flying mouse image in Lost Shadow Oxide ink on the background for some subtle texture.


I stamped the same image in some Copic-safe ink and used several Copic markers to colour the Mouse image. For the Body I used E13, E25 and E27, I used R21 for the ears, and V12, V15 and V17 for the wings, and I used N4 for the handles that the mouse is holding on the wings. For some added texture I also added some white highlights with a gel pen. I then fussy cut out the image leaving a thin white border because I like that look. For the sentiment I white heat embossed it on the same black cardstock as the matte and trimmed it down into a label.


All that's left is to adhere all the elements, I used a mixture of liquid glue and Black foam squares. For a final bit of shimmer and shine, I added some Opal gems across the panel and called this card done. I am pretty happy with how this clean and simple card came together and I hope you enjoyed reading how this card was made.
