Creating a Stunning Slimline Card with Vibrant Flowers: A Step-by-Step Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this Creating a Stunning Slimline Card with Vibrant Flowers: A Step-by-Step Tutorial, Let's jump right in.


I started out by trimming down my cardstock, for slimline I like to take a full-sized sheet that's 8.5 by 11 and trim 4 inches off the long side, leaving me 8.5 by 7, then I score that base at 3.5 leaving me an 8.5 by 3.5 sized base. Next, I die cut the 2nd and 3rd largest layers from the slim lacy layers die set to create my panels.


I used my Memory Misti and stamped out the Beautiful flowers stamp 3 times, once on each layer, I clear embossed the top two layers so that I would be able to easily blend over the stamped images. I used three colours of Distress Oxide ink in Kitsch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry. For a sentiment, I stamped it in the lower right corner and adhered all the layers with a mix of glue and foam tape for added interest. For a final bit of shimmer and shine I brought in a clear glitter pen and added it on top of each flower, I also added some white gel pen for highlights and brought in a couple of pearls across the panel. I love how this card turned out. I hope you enjoyed watching it come together and you will give it a go!!
