DIY: How to Create these Stunning Lantern Botanical Birthday A2 Cards


Thank you so much for joining me for this DIY: How to Create these Stunning Lantern Botanical Birthday A2 Cards, Let's jump right in.


I started by stamping out the main stamp from the Lantern Botanicals stamp set on some hammermill cardstock and gold heat embossing it. Next, I used the coordinating stencils and four Distress Oxide ink colours to colour in the images. For the Teal shade, I used Salvaged Patina and Peacock feathers and for the pink shades, I used Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry. I then used the coordinating die set and cut out the images.


For the background piece, I cut out two layers from the Lacy Layers die set and gold heat embossed a sentiment on the stitched panel. Then I laid out the images in a way that looked good to me and adhered them down to the panel. I did use foam tape on the scalloped layer for a bit more dimension. All that was left was some final pretty details, I used a clear glitter pen on the flowers and the lantern, then added white highlights, which I think brings the images to life and I added a few pearls across the panel for a bit more shimmer and shine. I LOVE how this card turned out and I hope you enjoyed it as well !!
