How to Create a Stunning Handmade Black and Pink Watercolour Valentine's Day A2 Card

Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Make a Heart-Shaped Valentine's Day Card: Step-By-Step Tutorial, Let's jump right in.

I like to start by cutting down my cardstock, I used an A2-sized base then cut the black matte down to be 1/8th of an inch smaller and my watercolour paper panel down to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base. Next, I stamped and clear-embossed the heart-to-heart background stamp on the watercolour panel.


I used 5 colours of Karin Brush Marker Pros's to colour in the hearts, I used Lipstick red, Magenta, Cerise, Red Lilac and Burgandy. Working between the colour and clean water until I got the look I wanted for my background. In the few areas there were no colour I used a black copic marker and filled them in. I also splattered on some perfect perals powder for added shimmer and shine.


For the sentiment I cut out the word Love with my Upper stretch alphanumeric dies four time, once from black glitter cardstock that would be the top layer and three times from the black cardstock used for the matte. I layered them up to give the sentiment some dimension and used a vellum heart to help seperate the sentiment from the background. I also trimmed down the word you and added that on the bottom of the word love to finish up my sentiment. Once everything was adhered I added a couple of Black gems across the card panel for extra bling. I love how this card came together and I cannot wait to hear what you think of it!!
