How to Create a Stunning Ink Blended Pink Christmas Snowflake A2 Card for the Christmas in July Series


Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Create a Stunning Ink Blended Pink Christmas Snowflake A2 Card for the Christmas in July Series, Let's jump right in.


I started by trimming down my cardstock, I used an A2 base, which is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4, and trimmed my holographic cardstock matte to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base, and my Hammermill panel to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my A2 base. Next, I clear heat embossed a fun pattern stamp on the background of the main panel and then blended on three colours of Oxide ink in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Seedless preserves. I used the lightest colour in the center and blended out from there working to the darkest colour. For a bit of added interest, I also spritzed some Worn Lipstick onto the panel.


Next, I die-cut several snowflakes from both holographic cardstock and white glitter cardstock, I also die-cut a sentiment from the holographic cardstock and three layers of white cardstock to go under the sentiment to give it more dimension and visual weight. Now all I need to do is layer up everything in the card design, I did trim off any snowflakes that were hanging off the card base so that it would fit easily into an envelope, I used a mix of liquid glue and foam tape for more dimension. For a final touch, I added some clear gems to the center of each snowflake. I love how these cards turned out and honestly, the pictures do not do these cards justice!!
