Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Create a Stunning Rainbow Alcohol Ink and Butterfly 5x7 Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.
I started by creating my 5x7 card base and then cut down the black alcohol ink paper to be about 1/4 of an inch smaller. I then brought in the snowcap mixative to use with my six alcohol ink pearl colours so they would show up on the black cardstock better. The colours of pearls I used were Intrigue, Splendour, Alchemy, Sublime, Tranquil and Villainous, I worked between the colours, blending solution and snowcap until I was happy with how the background came together. I used an air blower to move them all around to create a sort of line across the cardstock.
I wanted a really strong focal point that didn't cover up the background so I went with the Perspective butterfly and I cut it out of some white glitter cardstock. I adhered that and a label sentiment on top of my alcohol inked background and added some thin foam tape to adhere the panel to the base. All thats left is to trim off the any butterfly that is hanging off the base and add some satin pearls around the butterfly for some added bling.
