How to Create a Stunning Yellow to Orange Ombre Bee 5x7 Card: Step-by-Step Tutorial

I like to start by cutting down my cardstock, I used a 5x7 base then cut the black metallic down to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base and my Hammermill paper panel down to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base. Then I blended on four colours of Distress Oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, and Spiced Marmalade, I worked between the colours until I was happy with how the blend looked.


Next, I used my Cricut to cut out the Bee out of the same cardstock I used for the Black metallic matte and positioned it where I wanted it so I could see where to place my sentiment. I white heat embossed the sentiment in the lower right corner so that it could stand out on its own. Once all the layers were adhered with liquid glue or foam tape, I splattered on some perfect pearls and water for some added interest and shine.


For a final bit of bling, I also brought in some vintage pearls to finish off the card. I love how this came together and hope you enjoyed it as well!!
