I like to keep my A2 card bases pre-made, so they are always ready to go. Then I ran some hammer mill cardstock through my die-cutting matching with the lacy layers dies to create a pretty background for my butterflies.

I cut the base of the butterflies out of Yupo paper so I could use my Alcohol inks easily on top of them and cut the detail layer out of some white glitter cardstock for some added shimmer and shine. For the butterflies' bodies, I used two Alcohol inks, Gumball and Laguna, blending between the colours and blending solution until I was happy with how they looked. I adhered the glitter highlights once the alcohol ink was dry.

For some added interest in the background, I ran the stitched rectangle through my die-cutting with a 3D embossing folder, all that's left is to adhere the layers and add some white pearls for extra shimmer. For my sentiment, I added a thin sentiment strip between the butterflies and use a thin piece of foam tape to give it some dimension. I am pretty happy with how this card turned out!!
