Vibrant Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards Tutorial | 12 weeks of Christmas Week 5

Thank you so much for joining me for this How to Create a Vibrant Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards Tutorial | 12 weeks of Christmas Week 5, Let's jump right in.

I started with a 5x7 piece of watercolour paper and added some texture and interest to the background with some texture paste, after that was dry I sprayed the background with Hocus Pocus, Ominous Twilight, Merry Mint and Fortune Teller Mica Sprays. I also splashed on a little Salvaged Patina Oxide ink for some added colour. I then trimmed the watercolour down to the 2.5x3.5 Artist Trading Card size.

I trimmed out snowflakes from this fun fabric sheet I found and set them aside to be used on the ATC's. Next I used some Resin in the Grungy and Baroque Frames Moulds to create a frame for each ATC. After they fully set I used some Acrylic paint on them to help them stand out against the background in Bright Aqua Green, Deep Violet, Turquoise Blue and Dioxanine Purple. I also added some Old silver wax on top of the frames to help some of the details stand up against the bright paint. I used my hot glue gun to adhere the frames on top of the fabric and the ATCs.

For some finishing touches I added a Merry Christmas sentiment, and some silver snowflake embellishments. I LOVE how these turned out and I mailed them out to some wonderful people signed up to my happy mail list on my YouTube channel!!
