Thank you so much for joining me for this Vibrant Mixed Media Botanical 5 x 7 Card, Let's jump right in.
I white heat embossed the Concentric Doodle stamp onto my watercolour cardstock for some texture in the background, then brought in four Nuvo Shimmer Powders in Cherry Bomb, Atlantic Burst, Solar Flare and Blue Blitz. I sprinkled them around the background then added a fair amount of water until all the colours were moving and mixing, I brought in my heat tool to speed up the drying process.
I used the Postcard stencil and some texture paste for even more interest in the background and set that aside to dry. I stamped out an image from the Botanic Collage stamp set and white heat embossed it on some heavy-weight vellum, then ripped the vellum for a fun and whimsical design. I white heat embossed my sentiment on the same black card stock I used for the matte and trimmed it down into a label.
I added some black thin 3D foam squares behind the sentiment and adhered it to the lower right corner, then added my vellum piece over top the sentiment and attached it with two staples from my tiny attacher. I used Big Mama foam tape to adhere my background panel to the black matte and some liquid glue to adhere the layers to my 5x7 base. To finish up the card design I brought in some Stargazer Jewels and added them around the vellum piece then called this card done.
