Vibrant Rainbow Happy New Years Slimline Card Tutorial

Thank you so much for joining me for this Vibrant Rainbow Happy New Years' Slimline Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.

I started by creating my card base which is a Slimline size, I cut four inches off a standard piece of cardstock, 8.5 x 11 and scored it at 3.5 leaving me a Slimeline card base of 8.5x 3.5 inches when folded. I also trimmed down a piece of Hammermill cardstock to 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base and a black matte to 1/8th of an inch smaller than the base for a layered look.

On the Hammermill panel, I blended six Distress Oxide ink colours in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. Once the ink was dry I gold heat embossed on the firework images from the Amazing stamp set and splashed on some perfect pearls for added shimmer and shine.

I used the letters from the Theory Alphanumeric die set, cut out 3 layers of black cardstock and one layer of Champagne glitter cardstock, and adhered them together to give the sentiment more depth. I then trimmed down a sentiment strip for the word Happy and stuck it on an angle above New Year. I adhered all the layers together then added some gold crystals in the centre of each firework and called this card done.
