Whimsical Rainbow and Roses A2 Card Tutorial


Thank you so much for joining me for this Whimsical Rainbow and Roses A2 Card Tutorial, Let's jump right in.


To start I cut down my layers, I cut my black matte to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than my A2 base and my Watercolour panel to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than my A2 base. Next, I stamped the floral image on two corners of my panel and heat embossed them with Clear Matte Dull embossing powder so there was no shine.


I then used several Distress Oxide Re-inkers to colour the panel and behind the florals, in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. I used my Distress Oxide ink Pad for the Squeezed Lemonade as I don't own the Re-inker. I then added some drops of water and perfect pearl powder to the background for texture and shine. Once that was dry I brought in my N1, N3 and N5 Copic markers and gave the roses some depth.


Now all that's left is to adhere the layers together, add a sentiment and a few sequins for even more shimmer and shine. I am pretty happy with how this card came together and a friend of mine has already claimed it so she can give it to her mom.
