Whimsical Watercolour Floral Trims A2 Card Tutorial

Thank you for joining me for this Whimsical Watercolour Floral Trims A2 Card Tutorial. Let's jump right in.

I started by trimming my black matte to 1/8th of an inch smaller than my A2 base and my watercolour cardstock to 1/4 of an inch smaller than the base, I stamped the Floral Trims stamp on my watercolour cardstock in a water-safe ink. Next, I ink-smooched five different colours of Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio, I dried my watercolour paper between each layer of ink for a beautiful layer look.

To enhance the colours on top of the flowers I used the same five colours of Distress ink mini's and painted them on top of each area following the colours I had in the background from the Oxide inks. To help those same flowers stand out from the background I used my N3 Copic marker and went around the floral images. Then I stamped a sentiment in the lower right corner and adhered the layers together.

For some final touches, I added some clear glitter pen and white highlights on top of the coloured flowers and brought in some of my favourite sequins to finish off the card. I am pretty happy with how this turned out.
